OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2013. Victor Linnik, President of ABH Miratorg, and A. Mikhailov, Kursk region governor, had a working meeting where they signed an additional protocol of intentions to the already existing investment agreement on cooperation.

Within the framework of the meeting the parties discussed the outcome of company’s projects of the current year as well as prospects of further development of ABH in Kursk region for 2013.

Next year ABH Miratorg intends to embark upon several major projects in swine and crop production fields in Pristensky and Sudzhansky districts in Kursk region.

In 2013 the company plans to increase production capacity by buiding 10 pork plants for 27.5 K breeding sows and a boar house for 168 heads. In addition, to prevent African swine fever the construction of veterinary-sanitary rendering plant with capacity of 9 660 mt/year with a possibility of capacity extension up to 22 540 mt/year will start in March 2013. Processing plant capacity is 42 000 mt/year with a possibility for further extension up to 98 000 mt/year. These projects will be implemented in Pristensky district in Kursk region. Commissioning is planned for 2014.

In the crop production ABH Miratorg will continue introducing new technologies to increase quality and yield of the cultivated land in Pristensky and Sudzhansky districts of the region as well as cultivating fallow land and increasing planting areas by 10 K ha up to 40 K ha.

Total cost of the stated projects will be 4.5 billion rubles. Within the framework of these projects implementation in Kursk region Miratorg will create 663 positions.

It is to be recalled that ABH Miratorg started implementation of the projects in Kursk region in 2010 with the construction of swine breeding sites and modern warehouses for grain storage and workshops for special equipment in Pristensky district. At the moment all 12 full-featured sites of " Pristensky" pork plant designed for 50 K mt live pork meat production per year are commissioned and now receiving animals. At full production capacity "Pristensky" will start working in January 2013.
