The ecological management system of NPO Saturn conforms to the requirements of the ISO14001:2004 international standard which is ascertained by the DQS and IQNet certificates issued by the German DQS-UL Group, one of the founders of the IQNet international certification network.

The award of the DQS and IQNet certificates acknowledging international recognition of the Company in the field of ecological management took place on October, 25th 2012 at NPO Saturn. The certificates were presented by Svetlana Ulyanova, director of development of the Russian branch of the DQS-UL Group.

Ecological management is rated as one of the highest corporate priorities of NPO Saturn as it ensures systematization of different techniques related to environmental protection. That’s why the fact that the Company was awarded the DQS and IQNet certificates is only the beginning of a long journey ahead. In the years to come, NPO Saturn having some potential for improvement will have to realize this potential in order to demonstrate that its ecological management system stays functional and also show to general public its responsibility for protecting the environment.

According to Vladimir Stogov, NPO Saturn chief engineer: “to us it is a strategic activity when it comes to creating an integrated Company management system integrating among others ecological management (ISO 14001), safety management (OHSAS 18001) and social standard (SA 8000) which serves as another aspect giving us some competitive advantages and ensuring the Company’s success in the future.

At the moment, NPO Saturn has institutionalized an operational ecological management system compliant with the ISO 14001 requirements. A new certification campaign aimed at demonstrating compliance with the BS OHSAS 18001 and SA 8000 standards is slated for 2013-2015”.
