OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2013.  Fujitsu today announced the launch of the Quantum GoTM and Quantum CommerceTM programs within the Fujitsu QuantumTM portfolio that are designed to improve consumer satisfaction scores and help retailers increase sales.

The Quantum Go program is a queue system that is designed to be integrated into Fujitsu Retail solutions, starting with U-Scan® self-checkout. This solution introduces and allows for ease of direction, as the consumer is gently guided to the next appropriate checkout location. Long gone are the days of a consumer selecting the wrong line in which to stand, as the Quantum Go system is designed to improve the wait time, and direct the consumer to the fastest checkout line. Using design parameters already found in the Fujitsu Digital Media solution -- along with familiar audio instruction sets -- the consumer will feel at ease as they quickly adopt this time-saving solution.

The Quantum Commerce program is a complementary solution to the Quantum Go system. While consumers await their appointed turn, they need to be communicated to effectively. The Quantum Commerce program is a turnkey communications solution that uses audio and visual technology, allowing retailers to communicate directly with the consumer. The Quantum Commerce solution will message consumers with information that will promote retailer branding, consumer engagement, general education, consumer entertainment and impulse sales.

"The retail industry is changing at an unprecedented pace. Now more than ever, retailers are challenged with transforming the in-store shopping experience to meet evolving demands of today's consumer, all while continuing to grow branding and sales in an increasingly complex marketplace," said Brian Yates, Director of Retail Product Marketing at Fujitsu America. "With the introduction of these new consumer-facing solutions, we are providing an end-to-end digital media service for retailers to drive consumer engagement, performance improvement, and increase sales and operational efficiencies."

The new additions to the Fujitsu Quantum portfolio underscore the commitment to increasing consumer satisfaction and helping to streamline the checkout process. As consumers move through the queue line, the Quantum Commerce system is not only selling to them, but they are being educated on in-store information as well. In the end, satisfaction scores increase along with sales, making the Quantum Go and Quantum Commerce systems win/win solutions for both the retailer and the consumer.

Installed in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, millions of consumers already enjoy Fujitsu U-Scan technology daily. The Quantum Go and Quantum Commerce programs will deepen and strengthen the relationship that the consumer already has with their retailer.
