OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2013. Transaero ranks the 16-th on the list of the world's biggest 60 airlines and the 6-th among European carriers in terms of airline safety according to a recently published ranking of Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Center (JACDEC).

The Germany-based JACDEC calculates its annual rankings based on aircraft loss accidents and serious incidents where an accident nearly occurred over the past 30 years. The JACDEC Safety Ranking also takes into account how long the airlines had been operating, giving priority under all other equal safety indexes to those carriers that have a longer operation history.

Flight safety is Transaero’s key priority. The airline has obtained vast experience in this area and it implements an efficient flight safety management system. Transaero has an unblemished safety record: the airline has never had a single accident.

Transaero is adherent to the principle that flight safety is beyond competition. All Russian airlines are united by their endeavors to ensure flight safety in accordance with the highest standards.
