OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2013. According to Shijiazhuang customs office of Hebei province, provincial imports and exports for 2012 amounted to USD 50.55 billion, putting it in 13th place nationwide. Of that figure, exports amounted to USD 29.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.6 percent, while imports were USD 20.95 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 16.3 percent.

In 2012, the province’s trade with the United States amounted to USD 5.63 billion, an increase of 8.8 percent, while that with ASEAN was USD 4.06 billion, for a growth of 19.5 percent. Export and import trade with the European Union decreased by 23.3 percent, to USD 7.05 billion. Private enterprises in the province took the lead in foreign trade, with export and import trade hitting USD 22.34 billion, an increase of 7.9 percent.
