OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2013. The holidays from 29 December 2012 through 9 January 2013 passed for energy specialists of JSC “MOESK” in the normal mode. According to the Central Operational and Technological Administration of MOESK, no blackouts and power outages in electricity supply of the company’s consumers were allowed.

On the eve of the holidays, JSC “MOESK" took measures to ensure reliability of electricity supply and strengthen regime of the Company's facilities security maintenance during the New Year and Christmas holidays.

In particular, special supervision of electric grid facilities operation was provided; chiefs-in-charge, duty operators, operating and maintenance personnel were on duty around the clock. A clear plan of warning and calling of emergency repair crews in the event of process failures was elaborated thoroughly. Special control was provided over substation equipment, which provides power to critical infrastructure, including airports and railways. Readiness of mobile power plants for operation was ensured, which, if necessary, can be quickly connected to socially important consumers and critical infrastructure. Measures were taken to enhance fire safety at power lines. Access control and control over protection ensuring were enhanced at MOESK’s energy facilities.

JSC “MOESK” took a complex of measures that helped to ensure reliable operation of the distribution grid complex of the Moscow Region during the holidays.
