OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2013. HRT Participates em Petroleo S.A. (the “Company” or “HRT”) (BM&FBOVESPA: HRTP3, TSX-V: HRP) in compliance with the provisions of Article 12 of CVM Instruction 358/02, informs the acceptance, on January 10, 2013, of the letter from Goldman, Sachs & Co. (‘‘Goldman Sachs’’), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., informing that on January 02, 2013, Goldman Sachs International, also a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., increased its interest in the Company’s capital, reaching 14,918,857 shares, which represents 5.05% of HRT’s voting capital.

According to the information provided by Goldman Sachs, the purpose of the interest mentioned above refers to minority investment that does not involve a change in the composition of corporate control or a change in the management structure of the Company.

HRT Participates holds one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Brazil.
