OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2013. In January 2013 Forbes Ukraine magazine published the “Rentier rating” for the second time. This is the rating of the 25 largest owners of commercial real estate in Ukraine.

The total rental income from offices, hotels and shopping centers received by 25 rating participants increased in 2012 by 17% to almost USD 700 million.

The rating positions were calculated based on the size of the possible annual rental income from the commercial properties, owned by a person. Income from offices and shopping centers was calculated taking into account the leased space and the average vacancy rate. Assessment of income from the hotels was based on the calculation of the cash flow generated from the exploitation of the room stock, excluding the maintenance cost of the hotel.

Alexander Feldman, Honorary President of AVEC Group, is rated the 4th for the second time in a row. Barabashovo retail park and Platinum Plaza office and shopping center were mentioned as the largest assets of the Group.

Forbes noted AVEC’s progress in modernization of Barabashovo, which led to increased profitability of the mall. Besides, it draws attention to creation of Eastgate Development – the company that plans to build two shopping centers in Kharkov by the end of 2015. The total area of Levada Mall and Cosmo Mall exceeds 200 000 sq.m.
