OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2013. Belarus’ beer output decreased 8.7% on the year in 2012 to 42.858 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

In December alone Belarus’ beer output reduced 1.5% year on year to 3.565 million decalitres.

OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 14.476 million decaliters of beer, down 6% on the year.

OJSC Brest Beer produced 2.06 million decalitres of beer, down 43.7%.

OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 7.664 million decaliters of beer in 2012, a decrease of 15.3% on the year.

Heineken Breweries, decreased beer output 7.2% to 10.718 million decaliters.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in Grodno Region, increased beer output 6.1% to 7.632 million decaliters.

Beer output in plastic bottles accounts for 78.9% of the total output at 33.805 million decaliters (down 3%), beer in glass bottles - 12.9% to 5.522 million decaliters (down 28.2%), beer in kegs 7.2% at 3.072 million decaliters (up 9.2%) and beer in cans - .1% at 459,000 dal (up 78.9%).

Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers decreased 11.6% on the year in 2012 to 36.022 million decaliters.

Heineken Belarus’ beer supplies to the domestic market reduced 9.2% year on year in 2012 to 10.335 million dal; OJSC Krinitsa – down 14.4% to 9.406 million dal; OJSC OLivaria – down 12.5% to 7.932 million dal; OJSC Brest Beer – down 43.9% to 1.619 million dal. Lidskoye Pivo increased supplies to the domestic market by 4.1% to 6.579 million dal.

Belarusian companies’ export of beer grew 7.7% to 7.069 million decaliters.
