January 28, 2013.  “Zaporizhstal” Iron & Steel Integrated Works increased volume of sheets deliveries in the second half year, 2012, in comparison with the first half year from 290 thousand tons to 348.3 thousand tons, growth made up 20 %. As a whole, in 2012, shipment of sheets made up 639.3 thousand tons.

Metal-roll of thin sheets produced by “Zaporizhstal” are in keen demand in pipe and building industry sectors due to less materials consumption for the goods and structures made of them as compares with sheets of medium thickness. Further application of thin sheets considerably decreases cost price of the products manufactured for the main consumers.

“Today, we observe hard times in the steel market. In order to remain a preferable supplier of metal products, it is important to realize and meet all the demands of our customers”, — Rostislav Shurma, General Director of JSC “Zaporizhstal” I&SIW, notes.

“In a word, if our consumers need thin sheets today, we produce it in spite of any difficulties”.

“Zaporizhstal” Integrated Works achieved a maximal accuracy in following the production process for thin sheets manufacturing due to decreasing the periods and improving quality of the equipment adjustment, which allowed to increase output of metal yield for over 4%.
