OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2013. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that interest in science in Ukraine is reviving and the quality of scientific researches of young scientists is increasing. He said this on Facebook.

Mykola Azarov noted that today he was pleased to give over the state premium of the President of Ukraine for young scientists, as well as grants of the President of Ukraine for research.

"Communicating with these young people, I was pleased to note that interest in science in our country is reviving and these young people are enthusiastic to develop science and grow in a good way by making their careers. I even use the statement that in fact these awards and grants - a "social elevator" that allows young people to gain public recognition and support at the state level and immediately climb significantly in their professional growth", the Prime Minister said.

However, he said that the tradition of awarding presidential awards exist in our country for 10 years. "I am pleased to note that year-on-year increases not only the number of grants and awards, but also significantly improves the quality and results of operations", Mykola Azarov said, adding that many of them have already been implemented in industrial production and have been tested.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the youth on Tatiana Day, noting that "this is a wonderful tradition that allows the country to remember that it has got a future in the face of students and pupils".
