OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2013. Metrowagonmash, the plant located near Moscow (MWM, a part of CJSC Transmashholding), and Sofia metro have signed a supply contract for 10 Rusich 81-740.2B/741.2B three-car metro trains (total of 30 cars).

The contract has been signed by TMH General Director, Andrey Andreev and Executive Director of Sofia Metro, Stoyan Bratoev.

All cars for Bulgarian capital will be supplied within 2013.

Car design includes noise absorbing system against Sofia metro order. Anti-graffiti coating will be applied on external and internal coating by request of Bulgarian party.

Passenger saloon of Rusich cars ensures high heat and noise insulation level. Digital information unit in saloon provides passengers with relevant visual and audio information: current journey status, route information, and, if necessary, advertising info. Button for direct passenger-diver communication in an emergency meets up-to-date ergonomics requirements. Communication reliability is achieved due to applied digital technology.

Bogies structure is designed for narrow European gauge, and cars are equipped with HITACHI asynchronous traction drive by the Customer’s request.

Looking back - Metrowagonmash has been cooperating with Sofia metro since the plant opening in 1998. Currently, Sofia metro fleet has over 100 cars produced at Metrowagonmash at different time.
