OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2013. The Estonian mobile payment solutions developer NOW! Innovations has won a tender of the Russian capital Moscow to provide the city with all the software needed for paid parking, the weekly Eesti Ekspress reports.

This is not a one-off sale of software as the contract will yield a steady income in licensing fees, CEO Ullar Jaaksoo told the paper. The payment platform is sold through the Dutch subsidiary of NOW! Innovations.

The paid parking pilot project was launched last November when 550 parking places in central Moscow were made paid slots. The city government promised to extend the paid parking zone this year to an area embracing 50,000 parking spaces.

The platform created by the Estonian company is also used in 14 Belgian cities and 30 towns in the United States.
