OREANDA-NEWS. BIGBANK continues cooperation with MTU Spordiurituste Korraldamise Klubi and sponsors five international level athletics competitions in Estonia in 2013.

"BIGBANK's interest in the achievements of Estonian athletes is still high and the company wishes to contribute to the development of athletics. While in the past we supported athletics through the BIGBANK Gold League series, this year our focus is on five different domestic competitions," said Member of the Management Board of BIGBANK, Kaido Saar.

Member of the Board of MTU Spordiurituste Korraldamise Klubi, Mati Lilliallik, welcomes the bank's decision to continue sponsoring Estonian athletics. "I am glad to see that BIGBANK continues to believe in athletics and is supporting several reputable competitions taking place. The first of these is the Martin Kutman memorial competition, with which we bow to the legendary athletics coach who has passed away," said Lilliallik.

The first Martin Kutman memorial competition will take place on Tuesday, 5 February, at 6.00 pm at the University of Tartu Sports Hall. Presumably the most high level athletics competition of the winter season brings strong athletes from at least ten countries in front of the Estonian audience.

In addition, in the coming spring-summer season, BIGBANK will sponsor the traditional memorial competitions for Gustav Sule, Valter Kalam and Heino Lipp, taking place on 28 May, 2 and 6 July, respectively, and supports the Sillamae high jump gala taking place on 20 August.

Starting from 2006, BIGBANK has supported athletics with approximately 400,000 euros and as an Estonian company, has contributed to the development of the country’s sports life by offering athletes competitions with motivating competitors and has awarded the best.
