A large delegation which included Turkish manufacturers of automotive components arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny from Turkey to participate in this forum. It will be recalled that last October Tatarstan’s businessmen and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Bursa – the center of automotive engineering in Turkey. Then, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan said that Tatarstan and Turkey could jointly implement some interesting projects in the sphere of automotive components production. Turkey is one of the main foreign partners of Tatarstan. The largest number of joint ventures established in Tatarstan with the participation of foreign capital was created in cooperation with Turkey. The officials of Tatarstan are ready to give all-out support to the Turkish entrepreneurs willing to start their own business in Tatarstan. “Whereas previously we cooperated with foreign partners mainly in the fuel-and-energy and construction fields, we are broadening our contacts now,” said Rustam Minnikhanov. “Our new strategic sector is production of automotive components.” Then, he invited Turkish businessmen to visit Naberezhnye Chelny where large automobile enterprises – KAMAZ and Ford-Sollers – are located.

KAMAZ has also been cooperating with Turkish companies for a long time. Thus, the Turkish company Tirsan Kardan produces drive shafts for trucks in Naberezhnye Chelny. Coєkunцz also plans to cooperate with KAMAZ. Sergey Kogogin expressed his willingness to provide facilities for Turkish manufacturers and discuss issues of guaranteed supplies to KAMAZ with Turkish suppliers of automotive components. Industrial Park Master is a perfect facility to achieve this goal. According to Maksim Steblov, General Director of Industrial Park Master, a lot of people wanted to visit it after the presentation of IP Master in Bursa. Basically, they are Turkish businessmen interested in placement of their enterprises in Russia. Therefore, the guests from Turkey will also visit IP Master to visit companies located there, including JV Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok, Leoni Wiring Systems, Tirsan Kardan, etc.
