OREANDA-NEWS. Panasonic Corp. said it has signed a strategic alliance with Power-One Inc. of the U.S. in the field of energy management - such as stationary power storage systems - on a global basis.

The Japanese company is promoting energy management business that combines high-efficiency solar panels, power inverters and power-storage systems in the domestic housing market.

Meanwhile, California-based Power-One is a leading producer of inverters for use in solar-power systems.

Under its mid-term business plan, Panasonic is aiming for annual sales of at least 100 billion yen for stationary power storage systems by 2018.
