OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2013. Within the framework of action “Honest kilowatt” in 2012, the power engineers of JSC “MOESK” held 7 ths. raids to reveal facts of non-accounted electric power consumption, as a result of which over RUR half billion were collected from the unlawful consumers of electric power, reported the press-centre of MOESK.

For the past year 3,736 acts were drawn up on the non-accounted electricity consumption and 224,9 mln kWh were included into the productive supply. We shall specify, that in comparison to the results of 2011, an increase by 120% or 122,8 mln kWh took place.

In 2012, 5,715 acts for 135,4 mln kWh. were drawn up on the non-contractual electricity consumption, for the total sum of RUR 575,2 mln. In comparison to 2011, a number of the revealed non-contractual electric power increased by 51% (by 46 mln kWh.).

713 acts of the non-contractual consumption altogether for 30,5 mln kWh and sum of RUR 118,6 mln, are now in the process of the claim-related work.

Main goal of action “Honest kilowatt” - is not punishment, but rather a caution. In the course of the raids, the power engineers carry out an explanatory work to the population and legal entities for would-be consequences of the unauthorized use of the electric power, as well as provide examples of the arrangements on energy saving and energy efficiency. An unskilled connection to the grids results in a quality reduction of the power supply, including voltage drops in the grid, to a damage of electronic alliances and other electrical equipment at the consumers’ place, fire hazardous situations creation.

Main goal of the work on the cases revelation of non-accounted and non-contractual electricity consumption is a reduction of electric power losses in the electric grid under its transmission, as well as the quality and reliability increase of the consumers’ power supply of JSC “MOESK”.
