OREANDA-NEWS. The Spatial Initiatives project with the participation of Latvian company Eventech, in which Stas Adamovic, SKOLKOVO Startup Academy graduate, works, has attracted EURO 200 000 seed investments to develop a high-end 3D-scanner prototype.

The first laser 3D-scanner, which will be built by Spatial Initiatives, will be used for superaccurate measurements of rock movement in mines to ensure safety during works in the mining industry. The company plans to produce new models for aircraft 3D-scanning and mobile city scanning in near future. The technology could be joined with different principles of an object’s materials identification for the dangerous zones detection during catastrophes.

Spatial Initiatives will be invested by the venture fund Imprimatur Capital Seed Fund. The strong innovative intellectual property of the project is the time measurement technology that belongs to Eventech, in which Stas Adamovic, SKOLKOVO Startup Academy graduate, works. It was developed by the scientists of Latvian Institute of Electronics and Computer Sciences and is being used in satellite laser location systems.

“I graduated as a physician, but I have entrepreneurial soul”, said Stas Adamovich. “The SKOLKOVO Startup Academy helped me to understand important business topics (how to select a team, partners, investors) and learn about the typical mistakes entrepreneurs are likely to make. And it was made in an incredibly effective way with the help of a great team of business coaches, mentors and professors.”
