OREANDA-NEWS. At the Infoforum, general constructor, first deputy general director of RTEC Andrew Badalov received a “Silver Dagger” - information security professional award  

The Russian Telecom Equipment Company (RTEC) participated in the annual national information security conference Infoforum that took place on February 5-6 in the premises of the Government of Moscow.  The Forum has been held since 2001 with support of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and the Security Committee of the State Duma.  Participants of the Forum discussed the most urgent issues of information security.

General constructor, first deputy general director of RTEC Andrei Badalov made a presentation at the Secure City section.  The report covered the approach of RTEC to security systems.  In particular, Mr. Badalov stressed the necessity of building complex security systems to protect day-to-day operations of cities, enterprises and critical infrastructure on the basis of a unified technological platform. This platform allows to create a common information management environment.

The Infoforum included Awarding of the Winners of the Professional Award "Silver Dagger".  The prestigious award was given to first deputy general director of RTEC Andrei Badalov "For the projects to create information security systems for providing e-services to the population". Andrei Badalov has been working in RTEC from its inception in 2007.  He is also a general constructor of the organization.  In scientific terms, Mr Badalov deals with command and control centers, complex automated security systems for territorial objects, large corporations and enterprises, as well as security systems for transport.

The “Silver Dagger” professional award was set up by the Infoforum organizing committee in 2004.  The award demonstrates recognition of professional contribution of individuals and organizations in establishment and development of information society in Russia.  The “Silver Dagger” is awarded for implemented projects of building information security systems in manufacturing, power industry, transport, financial services, government agencies, command and control of armed forces, electronic services, and regional governance.  The winners are defined by the Infoforum expert research council.
