OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2013. To increase efficiency of state control over compliance with the antimonopoly law in the Russian Federation and facilitate development of competition in the fishery industry, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) organized the Expert Council on Fishery Industry, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Expert Council comprises experts of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, representatives of other federal executive bodies, the authorities of the constituent territories of the Russian Federation, academic and planning-and-surveying organizations, representatives of alliances (associations, unions) of economic entities involved in the fishery sector, and independent experts.

The main objectives of the Expert Council are:

Drafting and expert examination of laws and other normative legal acts in the field of the antimonopoly regulation of the fishery sectors;

Preparing recommendations on improving state control and supervision in fishery sector;

Analyzing competitive environment and drafting proposals towards developing competition on the fishery markets;

Analyzing conformity of normative legal acts and actions of federal executive bodies, the authorities of the constituent territories of the Russian Federation and local self-government bodies to the antimonopoly law;

Drafting recommendations to coordinate actions of the antimonopoly authority and federal executive bodies regulating the fishery sector;

Preparing methodological, analytical and informational materials in the field of antimonopoly regulation of the fishery sector.
