OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2013. ТNК-ВР and the Government of Krasnoyarsk Krai within the framework of the 10th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum have entered into a supplementary agreement on social and economic cooperation. TNK-BP's total investment in the Krasnoyarsk Krai projects in 2013 will amount to at least 120 mln dollars, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

As part of the cooperation, in 2013 the Company plans to allocate funds to finance social projects in Krasnoyarsk Krai, including in the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenetsky municipal district and the village of Karaul.

Currently the Company is implementing two infrastructure projects in Krasnoyarsk Krai. The first one includes the development of two fields situated in Taimyr: Suzun and Tagul. In 2013, preparatory work is planned in the Suzun field, as well as the completion of field infrastructure facilities design. Full field development is scheduled for 2016.

The second project – development of the Kuyumbinskaya group of fields in the Baikitsky district (Evenkiisky district, Krasnoyarsk Krai), which are being developed by LLC Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz, a joint venture of TNK-BP and Gazprom neft.

According to Viktor Tomenko, First Deputy Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai – Chairman of Krasnoyarsk Krai Government, the agreement confirms the partnership between the Krai Government and TNK-BP in the development of oil and gas complex and joint solution of social tasks. "We highly appreciate the Company's efforts to develop its production infrastructure in the region, since the implementation of large-scale projects in the oil and gas industry is an integral part of the Krai's long-term social and economic development strategy," emphasized V. Tomenko.

"Oil and gas industry plays a key part in solving the task of increasing the pace of economic growth of Krasnoyarsk Kari and the country as a whole. TNK-BP is a major investor in new prospective projects in Krasnoyarsk Krai, which will allow a significant increase in TNK-BP's cumulative production," says TNK-BP's Vice President Oleg Chemezov. "At the end of 2012 the Company expanded its presence in the region by acquiring the Lodochnoe field. I'm sure that active cooperation with the regional government will enable us to create efficient oil production hubs, which will foster the growth of tax payments to the Krai's budget, the development of local manufacturers of goods and providers of services, the implementation of socially important projects, and residents' welfare improvement."
