OREANDA-NEWS. Chairman and CEO John Faraci was honored with the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship in Washington D.C. The award recognized Mr. Faraci for his leadership at International Paper and the formation of Ilim Group – one of the largest U.S.-Russian joint ventures with over 20,000 employees in the Russian Federation.

During his remarks, Mr. Faraci said, “This award is really for all of my colleagues at International Paper who have helped make us a success in Russia. It’s also an award for our Russian colleagues at Svetogorsk and at the Ilim Group joint venture who demonstrate every day that building bridges between our two cultures is possible and desirable.”

Mr. Faraci’s award was presented at The Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner, hosted by the Kennan Institute. This awards dinner is an annual event that recognizes individuals demonstrating outstanding and enlightened corporate citizenship and public service in connection with the U.S.-Russian relationship. The event is a benefit for the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute, a national resource for Russian studies in the United States.
