OREANDA-NEWS. Kemerovo Region Governor Aman Tuleyev and the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) Vladimir Rashevsky signed Socioeconomic Cooperation Agreement 2013.

Referring to the outcomes of the 2012 Agreement, Vladimir Rashevsky noted that approximately 24 bn rubles were invested in development of SUEK and SGC operations in the Kemerovo Region last year. Furthermore, SUEK and SGS disbursed 205.2 mln rubles toward implementation of essential social programs in the Kemerovo Region.

In 2013, SUEK and SGC will invest the record breaking amount of over 32 bn rubles in development.At least 1.7 bn rubles will be allocated for safety, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, including efforts aimed at improving the systems of ventilation and degassing, further deployment of comrehensive air gas monitoring systems, elimination of air suspended dust and rock dusting. The investment plans of the Companies are sealed in the signed Agreement.

Moreover, the Agreement sets the key social projects to be supported by SUEK and SGC. In 2013, SUEK and SGC will allocate the total amount exceeding 170 mln rubles for implementation of social projects in the Kemerovo Region. The key areas of social investment include support of Miners' Day celebration; a health improvement program for Kuzbass children; joint funding of multi-apartment building for orphans in the city of Lenisk-Kuznetsky; support of Kemerovo Region charity fund named after V. P. Romanov; launch of SUEK Labor Squads program in the Kemerovo Region; funding programs that aid children, promote education, culture, museums; aid to veterans and many more.
