OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2013. TNK-BP informs that it works with its contractors to improve the industrial safety performance on its sites through the implementation of the single workforce concept.

Development of TNK-BP's industrial safety system, efficiency improvement of the existing HSE tools and introduction of new ones were the main topics of the discussion during the Health, Safety and Environment Forum held at the Ryazan Refinery. The forum gathered TNK-BP HSE executives, leaders of the Company's refining discipline, representatives of contractor organizations, as well as refinery experts and specialists.

TNK-BP industrial safety system is based on the most up-to-date international practices and applies the same standards, requirements and rules both to Company employees and contractors working on Company sites. Common approach and single statistic data base allow to efficiently minimize risks associated with projects execution and establish an incident prevention system covering all process stages, including those where contractor workforce in involved.

"The single workforce concept plays a key role in the system, which efficiently ensures high level of industrial safety in TNK-BP. We treat all workforce equally, and we do care about our contractors. Good HSE performance is always the product of joint work of the whole team; we can only succeed if we combine our efforts," said TNK-BP Vice President, Health, Safety and Environment, Elena Kompasenko.

"We adopt TNK-BP's safety culture. We already use PPE 100% and hold HSE toolbox talks. TNK-BP HSE forums give us an opportunity to discuss relevant HSE issues with the Company executives and develop a common strategy," said Fedor Zhukov, OJSC Promfinstroy Technical Director.
