OREANDA-NEWS. CJSC Transmashholding and JSC Russian Railways have concluded maintenance agreement for EP20 dual-voltage electric passenger locomotives.

Alexey Vorotilkin, Vice-President of JSC RZD, as well as Alexander Chebakov, General Director of CJSC Roslocomotive, part of Transmashholding Group, have subscribed their named to the document.

The agreement stipulates that CJSC Transmashholding as a loco manufacturer will be liable for routine and non-routine maintenance during all loco life cycle. The Holding will bear responsibility for technical conditions of locomotives, perform all types of maintenance and repair works, including mid-life and overhaul repairs.

The agreement comes into forces upon its signing and is valid within 40 years after the last locomotive is taken on maintenance.

EP20 dual-voltage electric passenger locomotives have been designed as per JSC RZD order by TRTrans, Engineering Center established by TMH jointly with French engineering company Alstom Transport. Start of locomotive supply was in November 2012. In total, Russian Railways will get 200 such electric locomotives till 2020.
