OREANDA-NEWS. A meeting between V. Shport, the Governor of Khabarovsky Krai, and N. Tokarev, the President of the Company, was held. During the meeting an Agreement between the Government of Khabarovsky Krai and TRANSNEFT JSC on mutual collaboration was signed.

According to the Agreement, the basic directions of the parties' collaboration are as follows: development of economic capacity of Khabarovsky Krai, cooperative realization of investment programs, as well as implementation of complex measures concerning environmental protection at the territory of Khabarovsky Krai.

According to N. Tokarev, since the end of the year 2012, “Dal’nefteprovod” Ltd. (Khabarovsk city), an affiliated facility of TRANSNEFT JSC, has been fulfilling oil transportation under the second line of the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO-2) oil pipeline system. According to a preliminary data, the sum of tax revenues into the budget of Khabarovsky Krai from TRANSNEFT Company in the year 2012 amounted about 700 million RUR. For the whole period of ESPO-2 building the Company allocated more than 1.3 billion RUR into the budget of Khabarovsky Krai. The Head of TRANSNEFT emphasized the fact that realization of this project shall allow significant shortening of oil transportation expenses to local oil processing companies.

V. Shport, in his turn, noticed: “TRANSNEFT is implementing a significant investment project at the territory of our region. ESPO oil pipeline has already been put into operation, building of two branches to Khabarovsky and Komsomol’sky oil processing plants is in plan. This will allow balancing oil deliveries, lowering of expenses for its transportation, and this, in its turn, shall result in lowering of net costs of end products. The efficiency of these projects shall be colossal. It’s enough to say that at the territory of the region TRANSNEFT has already created about 700 work positions for local citizens; there is a significant feedback in form of taxes paid into the regional budget. Only in the previous year more than 600 million RUR were paid into the regional treasury. Extra incomes make it possible to solve social questions much more effectively”, the Governor of Khabarovsk region underlined.
