OREANDA-NEWS. Latvian airline airBaltic will introduce an additional flight frequency from Riga to Bari on the Adriatic coast of Italy, and start code-share cooperation on the route with Alitalia. The improved service will offer convenient travel between the two airports, and beyond to destinations in the Baltics, Scandinavia, Russia, and the CIS.

We are delighted to introduce an additional flight frequency to Bari on Wednesdays for the peak travel season in summer.”

airBaltic will fly from Riga to Bari twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Passengers will board a Boeing 737-300 aircraft for a flight that will last for 2 hours and 55 minutes. The Riga-Bari seasonal route was introduced in 2011 and operated once weekly on Saturdays. This year, the route will be for the first time operated in code-share cooperation with Alitalia.

For summer 2013, airBaltic has introduced six new destinations - Prague (Czech Republic), Heviz-Balaton (Hungary), Olbia (Sardinia, Italy), Rijeka (Croatia), Larnaca (Cyprus), and Malta.
