OREANDA-NEWS. NEC Corporation concluded a contract to acquire Cyber Defense Institute, Inc. (CDI), one of the leading security system diagnosis companies in Japan and a wholly owned subsidiary of Itochu Corporation. NEC is scheduled to complete the 100% acquisition of interest in CDI on March 1, 2013.

CDI specializes in diagnosis and training services in the security area. The company's engineers provide expertise covering a wide range of fields in alignment with international companies. This acquisition enables NEC to provide comprehensive cyber security solutions throughout global markets, including consultation, system implementation and operations.

Going forward, NEC will continue to enhance its cyber security business worldwide, including solutions for government offices and providers of critical infrastructure, such as electric power utilities, banking systems and communication networks.
