OREANDA-NEWS. The Banker, a British periodical, one of the most recognized global financial intelligence publications, released Top-100 Russian banks ranking in 2012. SB Bank holds a number of well-deserved rankings for financial strength ratios, including 59th rank for the size of Equity, 65th for the size of Assets. Notably, the Bank made it into the top 30 (29th rank) in terms of its Capital Adequacy ratio, a crucially important index which is currently in the increased focus of the Central Bank.

A due focus has been given to a bank financial performance, a highly relevant parametre though usually left out of account by national financial periodicals. A bank financial performance is assessed by the Banker experts based on two financial ratios - Return on Equity (ROE) and Return on Assets (ROA). SB Bank ranks 50th in terms of ROE and 39th in terms of ROAs.

The Magazine experts highlight the superior performance of Russian banks specialized in consumer lending and credit cards. This widespread trend began in 2011 and continues well into 2012. Notable that SB Bank achieved strong financial results without reliance on highly profitable though high-risk activities.
