OREANDA-NEWS. EuroChem, Russia’s largest mineral fertilizer producer, today announces the appointment of Richard Sanders to the Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.

The EGM of shareholders has approved the election of the Board of Directors and the appointment of Richard Sanders to the Board. Following the EGM, the Board of Directors has re-elected Mr Andrey Melnichenko as Chairman of the Board.

The new Board of Directors consists of the following members, including seven non-executive directors:

o Andrey Melnichenko, Non-executive director

o Andrea Wine, Independent non-executive director

o Richard Sanders, Non-executive director

o Keith Jackson, Independent non-executive director

o Nikolay Pilipenko, Non-executive director

o Vladimir Stolin, Independent non-executive director

o Dmitry Strezhnev, Executive director

o Richard Sheath, Independent non-executive director

Commenting on the appointment of Richard Sanders, Andrey Melnichenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Richard to the Board. He brings to Eurochem over 30 years of experience in the North American fertilizer industry, having held executive positions at CF Industries and Terra Industries. Richard’s extensive engineering and production management knowledge is valuable to Eurochem as we continue to grow our business both domestically and internationally, and raise environmental and health & safety standards.”

Mr Sanders held a position of Vice President of Engineering and Environmental Health & Safety at CF Industries. Prior to this, Mr Sanders served for eight years as Vice President of Manufacturing at Terra Industries and was responsible for the company’s domestic and international production facilities. Before he was a plant manager of Terra’s largest nitrogen manufacturing facility in Oklahoma for over 10 years. Mr Saunders graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
