OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2013. Uzkimyosanoat State joint stock company held a press conference at the National Press Center of Uzbekistan on last year's results.

Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov the country is focusing on the progressive development of the chemical industry, the rational use of its capacities and capabilities, increasing production of export-oriented goods.

Uzkimyosanoat SJSC conducts a policy of comprehensive development of the chemical industry, including research and development, extension and improvement of quality production. Production capacity of the company allows to fully ensure the domestic demand for chemical products, and to export it on an ongoing basis. Last year Uzkimyosanoat SJSC produced goods for over 1.56 trillion soums, of which more than 103 billion sums account for consumer goods. This is 42 per cent more than in 2011. This was made possible thanks to the ongoing modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of the industry.

In particular, due to modernization and technical re-equipment, Maxam-Chirchiq OJSC increased the urea output to 270,000 tonnes, Dehkanabad potassium fertilizers factory unitary enterprise’s production capacity rose by 20 thousand tons.  A new joint venture Uz-Cor silicon, producing silicon, much-demanded in the electronics and alternative energy sector, was commissioned at the Navoiyazot OJSC.

The company subsidiaries produce mineral fertilizers, synthetic fibers, plastics, chemicals for energy, chemical, and mining sectors, plant protection chemicals, defoliants, plastic films (used for sowing cotton).

Qishloqhujalikkimyo territorial companies, part of the Uzkimyosanoat family, provided agrochemical services to farmers. In particular, the production and supply of mineral and organic fertilizers to farmers were carried by these companies.

In 2013 Uzkimyosanoat SJSC together with research institutes and universities plans to implement 11 innovative projects, including development of import-substituting production and medicines.

The company produced more than 1,200 tons of nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers in 2012, which  is much higher compared to the same period of 2011.
