OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2013. Technical Program of Substitution of worn-out and obsolete input and bus-section circuit-breakers 6-10 kV is approved in branch of JSC “MOESK” Northern Electric Grids. During realization of this Program 100 circuit-breakers will be replaced at 22 substations of MOESK’s northern branch.

Input and bus-section circuit-breakers 6-10 kV, which are subject to Substitution, are worn-out and obsolete, being considerably overaged. Large part of this equipment, supplied by countries of former socialist camp (Bulgaria, German Democratic Republic), is being operated during 50 and more years. Absence of spare parts and technical maintenance of producers makes its operation difficult. Obsolete equipment is replaced by vacuum circuit-breakers.

RUR bln 5 is allocated from the budget of JSC “MOESK” for execution of Program. Arrangements on reconstruction and Substitution of equipment, developed by technical specialists of Northern Electric Grids, minimize significantly capital investments. After Substitution of obsolete equipment operational expenses will reduce significantly, and reliability of substations work will increase.

Method of element reconstruction of obsolete equipment, successfully realized in JSC “MOESK” while realization of type project of Substitution of oil circuit-breakers to SF 6 circuit-breakers of tank type, lies in the ground of ferocious schedule of works on Substitution of input and bus-section circuit-breakers.
