OREANDA-NEWS.  March 12, 2013. Uzkimyosanoat (Uzbek Chemical Industry) state joint stock company will implement 13 investment projects for US.36 billion in 2013, deputy head of department of investments of Uzkimyosanoat Maruf Abralov said.

He said that three projects are new and other 10 are coming from 2012. He said that the company plans to complete implementation of five investment projects.

In particular, the company will implement such projects as expansion of capacities of Dehkan plant of potash fertilizers and Kungrad soda plant. It will also realize projects on organization of production of synthetic washing powders, NPK, phosphorus fertilizers, etc.

Maruf Abralov said the company completed implementation of five investment projects in 2012. In particular, Navoiazot launched production of silicon, while Dehkan plant of potash fertilizers increased its capacities by 20,000 tonnes.

Maxam-Chirchiq increased production of carbamide up to 270,000 tonnes a year due to modernization of its capacities.

Director of Center of innovation of Uzkimyosanoat Abdulla Dadakhodjaev said that enterprises of Uzkimyosanoat launched production of 28 new products in last five years. Currently, the industry is working on launch of production of 17 new goods.

Along with launch of new goods, Uzkimyosanoat is increasing exports of chemical products. Head of marketing department of Uzkimyosanoat Batir Nabiev said that exports of goods, production of which launched in 2010, grew twice in 2012.

At the same time, Uzkimyosanoat actively works on diversification of export supplies’ geography. The company actively enters new markets of Azerbaijan, Greece, Georgia, Mongolia, India, Taiwan, Thailand and Philippines.

Last year, Uzkimyosanoat expanded exports of chemical products to Southern-Eastern Asia. Compared to 2009, the exports to this region rose 60%.

Enterprises of Uzkimyosanoat state joint stock company produced goods for 1.561 trillion soums in current prices, which grew by 6.1% year-on-year.

The enterprises also manufactured consumer goods for 103.5 billion soums in 2012. The growth rate made up 42.2% year-on-year. They also produced new goods for 23.1 billion soums.

According to Uzkimyosanoat, enterprises produced 1.221 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers in 2012. In particular, they manufactured 943,600 tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers, 152,500 tonnes of phosphorus fertilizers and 125,300 tonnes of potash fertilizers.

In line with the localization programme, the chemical industry enterprises produced goods for 333.1 billion soums within 34 projects in 2012, which grew by 23.5% year-on-year.

The companies of the industry also used investments for US5.72 million within investment programme for 2012 and attracted US1.44 million of investments.
