OREANDA-NEWS.  Krasny Kotelshchik (the main manufacturing facility of PJSC EMAlliance, which is part of the power plant engineering concern Power Machines) has shipped the last Assemblies for the High-Duty Boiler of Ekibastuz GRES-1 (Kazakhstan). Pipeline supports and suspensions were consigned to the Customer. The new equipment will replace the worn-down parts of the Boiler Plant.

 The Contract for manufacture and supply of the equipment for Ekibastuz GRES-1 was concluded between PJSC EMAlliance and JSC ZIO in February 2011. According to the terms and conditions of the Contract EMAlliance undertook to execute the detail design and supply the Boiler components for the reconstruction of the second Power Unit of the Plant. The specialists of EMAlliance Podolsk Branch and the main manufacturing facility of the company – Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik - took part in the implementation of the Project. The works under the Contract have continued for about two years.

 Earlier, OJSC Power Machines supplied two drive turbines with capacity of more than 11 MW each manufactured by OJSC Kaluga Turbine Works under the Contract concluded in April 2011. At present 500 MW Turbo Generator, the shipment of which is scheduled for the second quarter of 2013, is being manufactured for the same Power Unit. Apart from the new equipment, Power Machines repaired and supplied – in the period from 2006 to 2012 - seven Low Pressure Rotors for Ekibastuz GRES-1, they also manufactured a new High Pressure Rotor for 500 MW Steam Turbines, which are part of Plant Power Units.

 Ekibastuz GRES-1 Refurbishment Project implementation will allow reducing the risk of power shortage in the region and will cover the rising demand for electrical power in Kazakhstan.

 We remind that the energy market of Kazakhstan is a strategic market for the companies of OJSC Power Machines concern. Equipment manufactured by the power plant engineering company is well-known and has been in successful operation at the biggest thermal power plants of the Republic. Among them are Ekibastuz GRES -1 and GRES-2, Karagandinskaya GRES, GRES JSC Eurasian Energy Corporation, Ust-Kamenogorskaya TPP, Balhashskaya TPP and Zhezkazganskaya CHPP.
