OREANDA-NEWS. Gerdau intensified its training activities on the theme of social responsibility in 2012. Specific courses totaling 3,500 hours of training were given to 870 employees in units located in six countries, improving their concepts that involve socially responsible management and its application in the Company's business. Since 2010 the workshop has already involved more than 2,400 employees in 11 countries.

Directed by the Gerdau Institute, the training is aligned to the strategy of adopting the best practices of sustainability appropriate for the business and building a culture of social responsibility in the Company.
