This year Tele2 clients set new records and outperformed last year’s results. In total Tele2 subscribers sent 115 mn SMS and made 111 mn phone calls, which corresponds to an increase by 13.4% and 12.4% correspondently compared to 2012.

On Defender of the Fatherland Day, the number of SMS stayed flat at last year’s level (59 mn SMS), whereas a number of calls grew by 13% up to 99 mn.

Text messages delivery is the most popular way among subscribers to congratulate their friends and loved ones. During the holiday period, the number of SMS increases two- or three-fold compared to regular days.

However, Tele2 network has successfully carried heavy loads. In 2012, the operator has commissioned new facilities and upgraded existing equipment, which let the company considerably build up the network capacity.
