OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2013. In 2012, having investigated cases on cartels on the market of liquid caustic and polyvinylchloride, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) informed the Federal Tax Service about signs of violating the tax law by cartel participants.

FAS received a response that the companies had been additionally taxed over 1.4 billion Rubles. Three companies are still under tax inspections, while other three companies will be inspected in 2013.

Currently, FAS petitioned to the Federal Customs Service and the Federal Tax Service regarding the facts of possible violations of tax and customs laws by 26 members of “Pollock cartel”.

“The practice of cartel on investigations shows that violators of the antimonopoly law do not observe the laws in other spheres”, pointed out the Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Alexander Kinyov. “In such incidents the Federal Antimonopoly Service resolves the problems in an integrated manner cooperating with other controlling and law enforcement bodies”.
