OREANDA-NEWS. The next stage will be registration of the turbine hall bridge crane at the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision.

Static tests verified the strength of the crane and its individual elements, as well as its cargo stability. Dynamic tests entailed lifting and lowering operations, as well as a trial run of all devices and mechanisms of the crane. The tests showed – the crane is ready to work with the load capacity specified in its certificate.

The final stage, before commissioning, will be its registration with the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision.

The turbine hall crane was installed by the experts of Holding's subsidiary OJSC “MSU-90”. This crane is a hoisting device consisting of two beams with cargo trolleys and winches. Load capacity of each beam – 220 tonnes. The hoisting device will be used for moving heavy loads during construction, and then in the daily operation of the power unit.

This crane will come in useful for the experts of OJSC “MSU-90” during 2013, when they will be installing the equipment for condensing steam turbine unit K-1200-6.8/50 and the generator stator at the turbine hall of the first power unit.
