OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2013. POSCO will execute their regular HR promotions as of March 22nd. The promotions are aimed at selecting talent with specialties that lead innovation management and that have accomplished great results. Also drawing attention are talented females who have achieved excellent results.

Eunju Choi, who is the leader of the Business Strategy 2 Group, was appointed Executive Director (CFO), being the first female officer who was an open recruitment hire. Director Choi was hired during the first `POSCO Female Open Recruitment` is a specialist with experience in finance and investment as well as business strategy, and has been evaluated positively for fast decision-making and excellence in judgment. In addition, Seonhee Yu, of the Global Leadership Center, was appointed director and will oversee the Future Creation Academy which manages all of POSCO`s education.

The first female overseas subsidiary head since founding was appointed as well. Hoyeong Yang, current leader of the Stainless Hot-rolled Sales Group, was appointed Director-candidate and will take on the role as head of the Qingdao Pohang Stainless Steel company. Director-candidate Yang speaks native Chinese and proficient Japanese, and is well-known for her background in the stainless hot-rolled product trade in the industry.

POSCO has previously selected female talent as officers in the HR, technology management and research fields. The Company plans to continue increasing the number of officer-level female talent by finding those with excellent abilities in addition to this year`sregular promotions.
Meanwhile, senior managing directors Seunggwan Baek, Jongsu Wu, and Eunyeon Hwang were promoted to vice presidents, while senior managing director equivalents Guichan Park and managing directors Seongho Park, Wushik Jeon, and Dongil Ahn were promoted to senior managing directors.

Further, POSCO E&C Vice President Dongjun Yoon and POSCO P&S senior managing director Inhwan Oh were transferred to POSCO as senior managing directors, and Yeongsul Ha, Bowon Hwang, Byeonghui Kim, Seungdeok Choi, Ilhyeon Cho, Junhyeong Kim, Hyeongsu Oh, Giwon Han, Jucheol Park, Seonhee Yu and Daewoo International Cheolsun Nam were promoted to managing directors.

Through this year`s regular promotions, POSCO expects to stimulate employee motivation and increase energy in the organization. Also, talent-centered recommendation-based promotion was systemized, strengthening capability and result-based evaluations, and the Company plans to offer the opportunity for growth to employees through fair and transparent competition while presenting a vision.
