OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2013. The State Program of revitalization of the economy in 2013-2014 will enable us to approach comprehensively to address the key issues in the agricultural sector. So, meet its objectives, Ukraine in 2013, plans to ramp up production of gross agricultural output by 8%.

This will increase the export capacity and filling the budget. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk today at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers Building.

"This year, we expect the gross agricultural output by 8% compared to the previous year. It would enable to provide the export potential, facilitate inflow of foreign currency into the country. And, accordingly, it will provide a significant contribution to the GDP of the country," Mykola Prysyazhnyuk noted.

The Minister recalled that the main objectives defined by the activation program of economic development are to support domestic producers, technical re-equipment of agriculture, improving the investment climate and promote international cooperation. He noted that the implementation of these objectives provides a number of investment projects in the field of animal husbandry, agricultural machinery, etc. Overall, due to the program was planned to increase foreign direct investment in agriculture.

"Due to the implementation of these tasks will be supported by a complete food security of the state. Production of agricultural production will increase to 2014 to UAH 260 billion and the volume of agricultural exports will reach USD 22 billion a year. This will help to increase the income to the consolidated budget to UAH 48 billion," Mykola Prysyazhnyuk stressed.
