OREANDA-NEWS. Beginning March 20, UTair Aviation will initiate tickets sales for flights in the Volga Federal District at reduced fares in accordance with a new Russian Federal policy offering subsidies to make air transport in the region more affordable.

The new discounted fares will be available for Russian citizens buying one-way economy class tickets between the following cities in the Vogla Federal District: Kazan and Nizhniy Novgorod, Kazan and Ufa, Nizhniy Novgorod and Samara, Nizhniy Novgorod and Ufa and between Perm and Ufa.

The Federal legislation is aimed at launching a pilot project for the development of passenger air transport within the Volga Federal district from the 1st of April until 30th of November, 2013.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2012 UTair aircraft transported 8,582,681 passengers. The airline operates more than 200 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.
