OREANDA-NEWS. On Sunday 24th March, for the first time ever in Europe, Depeche Mode performed tracks from their long awaited album "Delta Machine". This exclusive album launch event, presented in partnership with Electronic Beats by Deutsche Telekom, took place in the cultural heart of Vienna, the world famous MuseumsQuartier. This unique setting with its blend of historic 18th and 19th century buildings and world class contemporary architecture provided the perfect backdrop for this one off event.

When the doors to Hall E opened at 19.30 1,500 fans rushed inside the former Winter Riding School in order to secure the best spots directly in front of the stage. Within a few minutes, the venue was ringing with sounds of anticipation and the excited voices of Depeche Mode fans from all over Europe as they waited tensely for the band to take the stage. Amongst the fans assembled for the evening famous faces included actress Jessica Schwarz, HP Baxxter, Markus Kavka and Austrian production legends Kruder & Dorfmeister.

Alongside new tracks from their new album "Delta Machine" released just days earlier on the 22nd of March, the band also played classic tracks including "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy the Silence". One of the highlights of the evening was the first live European performance of soon to be released second single "Soothe my Soul".

As the show drew to a close the undeniable magic and energy of Depeche Mode's live show had once again been re-affirmed, and the tone for the upcoming European tour set to kick off at the start of May had clearly been set.
