OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 4.4% on the year in January-February 2013 to 81.539 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 9.49 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told.

Industrial output in January-February 2013 increased 0.4% on the year to Br100.859 trillion (USD 11.74 billion).

Farm output rose 3.1% to Br9.089 trillion (USD 1.058 billion).

The government plans to see the GDP grow 8.5% in 2013.

In 2012, Belarus’ GDP grew 1.5% on the year to 527.4 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 61.4 billion).
