OREANDA-NEWS. Within recent years, a steady increase in the number of grid connections is observed in the Yegor’yevsk Electric Grid District of the EEG (Eastern Electric Grids). In 2011, the customer service center (CSC) of the Yegor’yevsk EGD received 918 applications for grid connection; in 2012, their number reached 2,029, and based on the first two months of this year, they equaled 600. According to energy specialists’ forecast, by the end of 2013, the number of applications for grid connection to the CSC of the Yegor’yevsk EGD can reach 3.6 - 4 ths. All this is a result of dynamic development of the Yegor’yevsk Municipal District.

According to the letter by Mikhail Lavrov, the head of the Yegor’yevsk Municipal District, which was addressed to Petr Sinyutin, Director General of JSC “MOESK”, the population of the district is growing by 500 – 700 people annually. This figure is growing steadily owing to attraction of investments into the district. Since 2000, 25 new industrial enterprises have been established here, and other industries are actively developing. In such a manner, the first phase of large-scale construction of the glass plant with the requested capacity of nearby 8 MW will soon begin in Yegor’yevsk on the basis of the long-term (up to the year 2025) district development plan. Moreover, construction of the 7th and 8th residential microdistricts with the site area of 685 thousand square meters is planned in the free areas for 23,000 residents.

Additional capacity will be required to supply electricity there, and the sites will need to be provided with electric energy of 40 MW in capacity. In this connection, now the MOESK’s managers consider the issue of construction of 110/10 kV high-voltage substation in the immediate vicinity of the housing units (in the village Selivanikha, the Yegor’yevsk District).

Meanwhile, energy specialists of the eastern branch have already planned large-scale reconstruction of existing substations. In such a way, this year, substation #52 “Dvoynya” will be reconstructed, as well as the existing 110/35/10 kV transformer will be replaced and a new indoor switchgear will be constructed. According to Valeria Glazova, chief of the Yegor’yevsk EGD, this will enable opening of five new substations for grid connection of subscribers for the purpose of further development of the district. As a matter of fact, the following similar steps of the personnel of the Yegor’yevsk EGD will be reconstruction of 110/6 kV “Berezhki” S #38 in 2014, which is aimed to feed the new 7th and 8th districts of Yegor’yevsk, and reconstruction of 110/6 kV S #734 “Sirena” in 2015, which will later feed the glass plant, as well as nearby 10 entities of different purposes, construction of which has already been started.

Besides, the year 2013 has become for the Yegor’yevsk EGD a year of large-scale designing. Energy specialists have planned design and exploration works for 12 new facilities. According to Valeria Glazova, the current good results in formation of documentation will be a good stepping stone for the eastern branch for further rapid construction.
