OREANDA-NEWS. A Glonass-M #47 spacecraft was shipped off to the Plesetsk State Experimental Cosmodrome on March 25, 2013.

The satellite is planned for launch at the end of April. Up to that moment the ISS-Reshetnev team will conduct all necessary pre-launch preparations at the cosmodrome.

The Glonass-M #47 spacecraft was developed and built by the Reshetnev Company. As of today, the orbital fleet numbers 28 satellites of this type. Twenty four spacecraft out of this number carry out their designated missions, and it enables the GLONASS navigation constellation to provide complete coverage of the globe.
