OREANDA-NEWS. Gomel Region Administration has opted to make use of its priority acquisition right to purchase a stake in OJSC Mozyrsol, reads a report by Belarus’ Currency and Stock Exchange.

The statutory capital of OJSC Mozyrsol is estimated at Br105,156,324,000 (USD 12.227 million at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Belarus). The statutory capital is made up of 896,772 shares with a face value of Br117,000 (USD 19.8). The government of Belarus holds a 90% stake in OJSC Mozyrsol.

As formerly reported, the administrations of Belarusian regions and Minsk City Hall have a preferential right to buy stakes and shares of Belarusian companies in accordance with presidential decree No.677 dated November 16, 2006.

Established in 1982, OJSC Mozyrsol is a major producer of salt in Belarus.
