OREANDA-NEWS. April 04, 2013. From beginning of year agriculture producers have drawn almost UAH 3 billion of credit funds. It is by UAH 908.1 million more than in 2012. Notably, the credit funds were used by 910 enterprises of agroindustrial complex. This was informed by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhniuk.

“Ukrainian agrarians continue to draw credit funds for the needs of their own business. And it appears a necessary source of financing of the national agricultural production. So, on the operative data of the regions, as of March 29 the agrarians used 2.9 billion hryvnyas of the credit funds, which is by 908.1 million hryvnyas more than by the respective date of 2012. In total, credit funds were drawn by 910 agricultural enterprises,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk noted.

The Minister informed that the biggest loan volumes were applied by agriculture enterprises of Mykolayiv region – UAH 368.3 mln, Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 317.9 mln, Kyiv region – UAH 231.7 mln and Kharkiv region – UAH 219.3 mln.

He also added that now the agriculturalists have stirred up drawing of financial funds for the spring field campaign. Bank loans make up around UAH 2 bln from the overall amount of the attracted funds.

“It is pleasant to admit that just enterprises of the agrarian sector demonstrate highest showings of returning loan interest rates. They return 95% of all taken loans from the commercial banks and credit unions. It is certainly a very high showing. So, it appears advantageous for creditors to work with agrarians,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk emphasized.
