OREANDA-NEWS. April 04, 2013. By the date of March 30 Ukraine has already exported 19.5 mln tons of grain crops. In particular, in February-March  there were supplied to the foreign markets 3.2 mln tons of grain. Such showings will afford to fulfill the forecast in export of grain crops in the current marketing year. This was informed by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhniuk.

“If to draw conclusions for February and March, the agrarians exported 3.2 million tons of grain over this period. These are rather good showings in order to realize the forecast by the end of current marketing year. Overall, from the beginning of the marketing year Ukraine has exported 19.5 million tons of grain crops and taking into account processed products – 19.7 million tons,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk emphasized.

Besides, around 1.3 mln tons of grain are in ports, loaded on ships and will be transported within nearest time.

“At the same time, our task number one remains domestic food security. So, we are constantly monitoring grain balances on the internal market and following external market conditions. If to summarize growth of grain export in the current marketing year, as of March 30 there were supplied by almost 4 million tons of grain crops more as compared to the analogous period of the previous marketing year,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk noted.
