OREANDA-NEWS. Depository Clearing Company (DCC), Russia's largest depository for shares, announces the appointment of Alexander Chumachenko to the post of the company’s CEO. He is to replace Maria Krasnova, the former CEO of DCC, who successfully completed the integration of National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, and DCC. Ms. Krasnova will continue working as NSD’s executive responsible for legal issues, corporate governance and risk management.

About Alexander Chumachenko

In 1992, Alexander Chumachenko graduated from State University of Management named after Ordzhonikidze with a specialty in engineering and economy. In 1997 he defended a thesis “Financial strategy of a joint stock company in stock market.”

In 1994, Mr. Chumachenko began his career in Russia’s State Duma Committee for Budget, Taxes, Banks and Finance, where worked as Expert and Consultant involved in preparing draft federal laws in respect of securities and stock market.

In 1998-2005, Mr. Chumachenko held senior positions in various departments of Russia’s Ministry of Finance, including Securities and Stock Market Department, Department for State Internal Debt Management, and Department of International Financial Relations, State Debt and State Financial Assets. In 2005, he joined Moscow City Committee for Government Borrowings as Deputy Chairman.

In 2008, Mr. Chumachenko joined Sberbank where worked as Deputy Director of Treasury, Chief of Client Services in Financial Markets, Chief of Department for Retail Broker Services and Sale Network Support. He was responsible for client operations in stock market, clients’ bonds placement in domestic market, asset management and broker services.

In 2013, Mr. Chumachenko was appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Board, NSD.
