OREANDA-NEWS. The retail loan portfolio of NOMOS-BANK Group was up 55.1% to RUB 90.1 billion in 2012 (under IFRS).

The retail loan portfolio growth rate was ahead of the market average which was 39.5% for the period according to the Central Bank. The retail loan portfolio’s share of the Group’s total loan portfolio of corporate, retail, small business and investment business, as of December 31 2012, was 15.3%.

This success was driven by both wide and flexible product range and high quality of customer service. In addition, efforts were made to expand sales channels and remote services, including mobile devices and ATMs, which enabled rapid development on the retail market," said senior vice president of NOMOS-BANK, Elena Budnik.

Customer accounts of retail segment of NOMOS-BANK Group were up by 20.4% and, as of 31 December 2012, totaled RUB 157.3 billion, about 34.4% of the Group’s total customer accounts of corporate, retail, small business and investment business segments.

As of December 31 2012, the number of retail customers totaled approximately RUB 1.5 million. The Group’s distribution network includes about 300 branch offices and more than 19,000 ATMs (including those of the United Settlement System). The number of NOMOS-BANK’s own ATMs, as of December 31 2012, stood at 1,825.

Operating income before provisions for impairment of the retail business segment for the reporting period totaled RUB 11.3 billion, or 25.5% of the aggregate of the Group’s four key business segments.

Net income for the segment in 2012 amounted to RUB 2.8 billion, up 1.8 times over 2011.

NOMOS is currently the sixth largest banking group in Russia by total assets and the second largest privately-owned Russian universal banking group with total assets of RUB 899.9 billion and equity of RUB 90.4 billion under audited IFRS accounts for 2012.

As at 31 December 2012, NOMOS had an extensive branch network in Russia with 300 offices in the economically important regions of the Russian Federation, with the majority of its business concentrated in Moscow, St Petersburg, Tyumen (including the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district), the Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk regions.

NOMOS provides a full range of banking services to corporate, small business and retail clients. As at 31 December 2012, NOMOS served approximately 13,500 corporate customers, 85,800 small business clients and almost 1.5m retail customers, including private banking clients.
